The seeds for the Open Bracket were announced and the bracket was live. E4 were handed 9th seed and a bye in Round 1. We faced off against Tera Gaming in Round 2. E4 were determined and focused from the off and took the series with ease, 2-0 to make a dominant start to the event. Our next match was a tougher opponent in Aztek Gaming. A top 7 team from Latin America. It was E4 who came out on top and took the series 2-0 to move on to Round 3. As the bracket progressed, We faced up against dZ Rezurges in an expected fixture for a spot in Pool Play. As the third seeded team in Europe and first seed in the Open Bracket, we knew this matchup wasn't going to be easy. The Winners Quaterfinal was a closer encounter to our previous games, but it was E4 who opened up the series with a 7-5 map win. Clutching up in Map 2, 7-4, it was E4 who took the series 2-0 and with that victory saw Eye 4 esports join the tournament's elite for the second day of competition. After an impressive day of intense games, E4 finish Day 1 with a 6-0 map count heading into Pool A alongside OpTic Gaming, Pure Gaming and Team Supremacy.
